Vanceboro Ruritan

WELCOME

The Vanceboro Ruritan Club serves the Vanceboro, N. C. community.
Ruritans believe the most important benefit of membership is the opportunity to work in fellowship with people, who like them, have a desire to make their communities better places in which to live.
Ruritan was founded in Holland, Virginia in 1928. The Ruritan mission of improving communities and building a better America through Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service has touched thousands of lives.
The name Ruritan was suggested by Daisy Nurney, a reporter for the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot Newspaper. It is derived from the Latin words "Ruri" (open country) and "tan" (small town), pertaining to rural and small town life.
The Vanceboro Ruritan Club meets the 4th Monday of each month at Vera's Diner on Main Street in Vanceboro.
Contact any member of the Vanceboro Ruritan Club and get details of our next meeting. If you cannot attend monthly meetings, Associate memberships are available.
